THREE-BOOK TRUE CRIME COLLECTION

Click the link above

Here is a collection of 36 true crime stories. Most of these cases will be new to the reader. Each year, approximately 23,000 homicides are committed in the United States. The national media selects just a handful to report on. The rest are documented only by local news sources.

I began developing my archives of true crime cases in the 1990s. I started my blog, Kidnapping, Murder and Mayhem, in 2008. Since then, I've written about more than 800 cases in my blog. Early this year, I began writing online books to publicize some of the lesser known cases.

Many of these stories are more interesting than those that get all the air play.

For instance, as the whole neighborhood watched in horror, four teens carjacked an elderly woman. After beating her, pepper spraying her, and stomping her, the teens sped away in her car. Unfortunately, the seat belt was wrapped tightly around the victim’s arm. As the car raced down the road, it wrenched her arm from her body. Neighbors raced to help, but it was too late.

In another case, two random home invaders left their truck running in the driveway. One of the victims, shot several times, ran out the door, jumped into the truck, and sped off. The robbers, with no other way to escape, found a four-wheeler in the garage. You can guess what happened next--yep, they ran out of gas and were quickly captured.

And there are tons more.

Check robertwaters.net for more information about me and other books I've written.
